Mysql Odbc 3.51 Driver Download Windows 7: Troubleshooting Common Issues and Errors

Connector/ODBC 3.51 is also known as the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver. Connector/ODBC 3.51 has support for ODBC 3.5x specification level 1 (complete core API + level 2 features) and provides all functionality of ODBC for accessing MySQL. To get all functionality from the ODBC 3.51 driver (like transaction support) you should use it against MySQL 3.23.36 or above.

It is generally a good idea to download and install both the 32-bit and 64-bit MSI packages. Otherwise, the ODBC Driver Manager may sometimes load the wrong version of the driver for your application, which can cause errors like the following:

The installation process is fairly easy. First, you need to extract the files from the binary tarball. Then, you need to install the driver's shared library to the appropriate place in your system. The driver's shared library is called libmaodbc.so and it is located in either the lib directory or the lib64 directory, depending on whether you downloaded a 32-bit or 64-bit package. The driver's shared library can be installed anywhere, but for simplicity, the instructions below will assume that you are installing it to /usr/lib64, which is a common directory for 64-bit shared libraries on many Linux distributions.

The ODBC driver for MySQL is not bundled with the server. Therefore, you need to install that separately. The link to download thisdriver is shown above. All screens in the installer are self-explanatory andthere are no setup options as all the installer does is to copy files andchange some registry settings.

Basically works but not as specified. Yes, the problem is the lack of the VC++ redistributable. I downloaded and installed the files for the 2015, 2013 and 2012 versions (not sure which one did the trick, but I suspect it was the 2015, the latest available). I installed both x86 and x64 components and was then able to successfully install ODBC 5.3.7, both 32 and 64 bit drivers.

As for the latest version, all efforts to search the Ubuntu repository for the ODBC driver are in vain: of all the repositories listed in the software sources, none of them include the libmyodbc package. According to the Ubuntu version history, the package used to exist but has been deleted due to a certain bug.

Under this link, the MySQL ODBC drivers for Windows can be downloaded and installed. There are two versions of MySQL ODBC drivers for Windows that can be installed, depending on which application will be used with:

To use ODBC for MySQL, first you must install the MySQL ODBC drivers on your computer. (MyODBC is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and other platforms.) You can download the files from The simplest way to install MyODBC is to download the precompiled binaries and then run the install program to install the drivers.

Download MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51. Choose Windows MSI Installer (x86) to download on the page. The installation is pretty simple and should only take a few minutes at the most. You can find detailed documentation about MyODBC on MySQL.com website.Steps to set up MySQL ODBC DSNFollowing the following steps to set up MySQL ODBC DSN (Data Source Name).Open ODBC Data Source Administrator.

In the Create New Data Source window, scroll down until you find MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver. Select it and click Finish. If you can't see MySQL ODBC 3051 Driver in the list, you need to download and install MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51 first.

Xlight FTP Server can be integrated with database system to authenticate users and store user settings in the database. This function will save much maintenance cost and effort to manage large number of users. In this example, we use MySQL database to demonstrate the procedure of integrating Xlight FTP Server with database through ODBC. For other databases, setup procedures are very similar. In theory, Xlight FTP Server should work with any type of database supporting ODBC. We didn't test each of them, but we know it can work for MS-SQL, MYSQL, ORCALE, ACCESS database. Note: after 30-day evaluation period, this function is only supported by the Professional edition of Xlight FTP Server. To use database through ODBC, you need to configure ODBC data source first.1. Download MySQL ODBC data source driver from -myodbc.html and install MySQL DataSource Driver in the machine running Xlight FTP Server.

2. Go to "Control Panel->Administrative tools->DataSources (ODBC)"; select the "System DSN" tab.3. Click "Add..." button, select "MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver" and clickthe "Finish" button.4. In this example, we use "Xlight FTP Server" as the name of data source. You can use any name for the data source. The MySQL database is running in the remote Linux machine "192.168.11.2". We will create a database "test" in this machine; you can use any database name for ftp server. In the machine of 192.168.11.2, at the MySQL prompt mysql>, type command "create database ftpd_user_db;" to create a database named "ftpd_user_db" 2ff7e9595c
