First of all, if you have a smart TV (one that will stream the internet), you can skip this paragraph. But if you do not have a smart TV, you would need to purchase a streaming device. These can be a Roku, Firestick or other device that allows a TV to stream the internet. Be sure to check which connection the device comes with, and be sure that your TV has that connection! This is typically a HDMI cable, or a USB port. These devices start at about $27.99, and are often on sale! There are many free TV apps that you can use once you have a streaming device, so you can get a lot of entertainment at little cost!
Once you have your streaming device set up and connected, you can search for apps for TV art. There are many paid ones out there, but there are sources that will make your TV display art for free! If you have Roku device, you can use the app Art Stream for free. My favorite way is to go to YouTube. Navigate to the YouTube app, and search whatever kind of art you are wanting to display.

This TV has the same Tizen OS smart interface found on most other Samsung TVs. It's easy to use and has a huge selection of streaming apps available, so you're sure to find your favorite content, and you won't need to connect any extra streaming boxes. You can also cast content from your phone or another mobile device, which is great for sharing pictures with family and friends. It's one of the loudest TVs we've tested, so you won't have any trouble hearing it if you don't want to connect a sound system and there's a lot of outdoor noise while you're watching TV.
While it supports eARC if you also want to connect a soundbar, its built-in speakers have an okay frequency response with minimal distortion, so you'll hear things well. It uses the Google TV interface, which has a ton of apps you can download, and the built-in Chromecast lets you cast content from your phone. If you still find this TV too expensive, the TCL 6 Series/R646 2021 QLED costs a bit less and gets as bright in SDR, but the Hisense is still more well-rounded for a better overall experience.
It gets very loud and has an incredibly wide viewing angle, so it's a great choice for a large patio, as everyone will see the same thing no matter where they're sitting. It has fantastic reflection handling, so glare isn't an issue if you have a few lights on outdoors at night. The built-in Tizen smart interface has a great selection of streaming apps, so you can easily find your favorite shows.
Select Devices, then make sure Download over metered connections is set to Off. This blocks the download of device drivers from Windows Update and device info for your device, while your Internet connection is set to metered. (These downloads will resume next time you're on a non-metered Internet connection.)
You might receive this message when you connect a device and it tries to connect to the Internet using a metered connection to check for new device software. To avoid unexpected data charges, your PC won't allow the device to automatically check for new software when you use a metered connection. To always download device software on a metered connection:
Select Devices, then make sure Download over metered connections is set to On.Once you've finished downloading your devices updates, you can turn this setting off to avoid unexpected charges when you're on a metered network.
